Industrial Revolution Invention Project
The purpose of this project is to investigate a product that has been invented since the Industrial Revolution and evaluate the effect its production has on our environment. You may choose to work on this project on your own or in partners.

1) Choose a product: Choose an invention that has made our lives easier that you would like to know more about. This can be anything from a cell phone to Velcro.

2) Investigate the product: Investigate the production of your product by asking the following questions:
a) What is the product made out of? Find out the ingredients of ALL components of the product.
b) How does the production of those ingredients effect the environment?
c) How is the product made?
d) What are the environmental effects of the production and manufacturing of the product?
e) Are there any environmental concerns or regulations concerning the production of your products?
f) How is the purchase of the product affecting the world economy? Who is suffering because of the production of the product?


3) Present your findings:
a) Using pictures and words show the process of producing your product. Include pictures and descriptions of the ingredients and components.
b) Using pictures and words, demonstrate the environmental impact of each component to your product.
c) Using pictures and words, show any ways that the production of this product is hurting or harming people.

4) Ways to present:
a) You can make a poster (in this case it makes sense)
b) You can use Glogster to make a digital poster (this will allow you to embed pictures and video)
c) You can use Inspiration to make a map or web of your product.
